Commissioning and new installations Technician – Commissioning Engineer CS

The role  

  • Ensuring that our projects are properly commissioned/installed and operating in accordance with standards (ISO, NBN-21-100, quality procedures, etc.).

Main activities and tasks

  • Responsible for commissioning fire detection installations from A to Z and for the associated materials and accessories.
  • Installation of detection equipment and associated wiring work for small installations.
  • In collaboration with the project manager, preparing commissioning.
  • Applying the rules on site.
  • Carrying out work tasks in accordance with safety rules.
  • Test wiring/connections.
  • Checking connection boards and related accessories.
  • Adjusting and setting DEF products.
  • Programming different types of DEF standards.
  • Drawing up fire scenarios and converting them into programmes.
  • Checking that the installation is working properly.
  • Attend statutory inspections.
  • Providing basic training to customers or users.
  • Follow-up and correct plans, diagrams and “as-built” documentation.
  • Ensure high-quality commissioning, in line with current internal ISO procedures and DEF instructions, and in compliance with existing standards NBN S21 100.
  • To provide a work report, including the customer’s signature, for each job and submit it to the project manager.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • You have a degree in electronics, electromechanics or electricity.
  • You are able to use a PC: Pack Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • You have a good command of basic measurement skills using a multimeter (current, voltage, resistance), analytical measurements (battery life, calculation of impedance lines, etc.) and you are able to think logically in order to isolate errors.
  • You are communicative, customer-oriented and precise.

  • Knowledge of Navision is an asset

  • Knowledge of fire and fire detection
  • Fire safety
  • VCA-B
  • BA4
  • B driving licence
  • A certificate for working on aerial work platforms is an asset
